JLo takes a U-turn

After previously hinting to walk out of American Idol just after her first season, Jennifer Lopez looks all set to continue her stint as a co-judge for the upcoming season. If Nigel Lythgoe, the executive producer of the Idol is to be believed, Jennifer Lopez will be accompanying Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson as the panel of judges for Season 11.

Initially reports were out that Lopez was reluctant to return for $12 million, the amount she was paid for Season 10. Ever since the report, the producers of American Idol have gone out and clearly
indicated that they would love her to return to the show. However, Lopez who has admitted while she really loves judging, she also needs to look for other alternatives before she commits. Ironically, the singer-cum-actress will have far lesser alternatives to consider if it were not for American Idol, as she looks to get over her recent split with singer hubby Marc Anthony.

Rumor mill is rife with the suggestion that Lopez has earned 60 percent hike in her paycheck and has signed a $20 million contract with American Idol.
